Texas Underground Storage Tank (UST) Training
In addition to convenience store training courses, National Hospitality Training now offers Class A, Class B and Class C UST Facillity Operator Training Courses in an online format. This Texas-approved course is offered in alliance with the Texas Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association (TCPA).
The 100% online course is available 24/7 and teaches the student the essentials of safe operation of underground storage tank systems in compliance with local, state and US requirements. This course also teaches the student how to train Class C employees.
The 4-hour online course is mandatory for owmers amd operators of facilities with underground storage tanks that contain petroleum, hazardous substances or waste. Owners and management staff at gas stations, truck stops and convenience stores with gas pumps should take this course.
In this course, the, students will learn methods to avoid and minimize the release of gasoline, diesel, and other fuel products, and the environmental harm caused by leaks of these dangerous substances.
Upon succesful completion of this course, the student will be able to print their certificate of completion from this website.
This course is regulated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. All Class A and Class B operators must recertify every 3 years.

What is a Class A and Class B Operator?
A Class A Operator is usually the owner or senior managers who have overall responsibility for the on site maintenance and operation of the Underground Storage Tanks.
A Class B Operator is usually the local managers who work on site daily and have responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the Underground Storage Tanks.
Class C Operator
A Class C UST Operator is required to be trained in proper emergency response procedures and operation of the tank and dispenser system. This includes knowing where the cut-off switch is, who to contact, and how to respond to a spill.
The Class C Operator of a UST facility is a person designated by the UST system owner who typically controls the dispensing of fuel at the facility and is responsible for initial response to alarms, releases, spills, overfills or threats to the public or to the environment.
This 1-hour 100% online course utilizes visual aids and audio commentary to facilitate the efficient and comprehensive learning of the subject matter required to meet state regulations for an UST Class C Operator.
